West Nipissing Walleye fishing is great in early season from the opening of the season to the middle part of June. West Nipissing Resort is located right in the path of the Walleye’s spawning route. Walleye use Lake Nipissing’s west side for their breeding grounds and when they’re finished they stick around until Lake Nipissing warms up and then depart back to the French River. Traditional Walleye fishing tactics work best here. Sitting and jigging with a minnow or a slow troll with a worm harness works best.
West Nipissing Resort sees some impressive catch quantities come in every year. Lake Nipissing also coughs up it’s fair share of lunker Walleyes. What ever size you’re targeting, hit the season right and you’re sure to fill the boat!
